At the end of summer 2014, my wife Robin and I took our tenth "Footloose" walking trip with ATG Oxford. We walked in western Tuscany, from Pitilgano to Orvieto.
The trip took us along 2,500- to 3,000-year-old routes between ancient wall towns on high plateaus. We walked picturesque Etruscan paths cut through the surrounding volcanic landscape and spent our nights in medieval villages.
Please enjoy editor Robin's, written log of the adventure, and my sketches done along the way.
