Long Pond Camp - Recent Sketches

We're underway on the design of renovations and potential additions to a family's summer camp in the Maine Lakes and Mountains region. The family has outgrown their current kitchen and dining area, so our conceptual design increases these spaces and creates a better relationship to the living room. This will create a more open main living space that is well connected to the waterside deck and has wonderful views down the length of Long Pond. On the entry side, a new roof dormer provides natural light to the existing stairwell and serves as a welcoming beacon on approach to the camp. Proposed entry side improvements, also include a wrap around porch and mudroom that will offer a more functional entry for both the family and their guests. A new master bedroom suite affords first floor living for mom and dad, as well as direct access to the outdoors.
