This cottage sits a few steps from the water in Boothbay Harbor, Maine and serves as a relaxing coastal retreat for our clients. In planning the interior living space of this small home, we wrapped the kitchen, dining, and living space into an L-shape that matches a subtle bend in the shoreline below. The kitchen faces east for morning sun, and includes a comfortable breakfast nook that’s perfect for coffee at sunrise and reading the local news. Thanks to the hard work of the crew at Dighton Home Construction our homeowners moved into their new cottage in the spring of 2012.
It's now fun to look back and compare some of our early concept sketches to the photography taken by Jonathan Reece earlier this fall.
Thank you to our homeowners for allowing us to disrupt your day for the shoot. We truly hope you enjoy your beautiful new cottage for many years to come.
